On October 4th, 1888 poet Henry Abbey read these verses, at the Dedication of the Battlefield Monument to the Twentieth Regiment of New York State Militia, Eightieth New York Volunteers. Also known as The Ulster Guard due to their mainly Irish soldiers.link to the free book
